Gwavas Garden Homestead

A stay at Gwavas Garden Homestead allows you a unique
opportunity to literally live in history, as you are transported
back 150 years, to the world of early pioneering settlers.

Romantics and those with a poetic nature will fall in love with the rooms at
Gwavas Garden Homestead. There are three to choose from, each with its
own distinctive charm.

Swinhoe Suite

The largest guest bedroom at Gwavas Garden Homestead offers views to the
east over the double tennis court. The impressive windows feature original
glazing - except for a single pane broken when struck by a swinhoe pheasant.
The spacious room has its own ensuite, a large period dresser and a remarkable
totara panelled ceilling. CHECK OUR LATEST ROOM RATES

Huddy's Room

Like the Swinhoe Suite, this warm, comfortable room also faces east. It has twin
beds and an original dresser. There is no ensuite, but guests may use the nearby
bathroom, with bath and shower, at the end of the hall. CHECK OUR LATEST ROOM RATES

Cedar Room

Named after the one hundred year old cedar tree outside, this room is the
smallest of the three, but arguably the most charming. It has a queen bed and
adjacent bathroom, shared with the Huddy's room, if occupied. CHECK OUR LATEST ROOM RATES
